Stanly County Public Schools
Each area is served by a school system with a total of 4 High Schools in the area. There are a total of 3 Middle Schools and 15 Elementary Schools. New schools have recently been built in New London and the Locust area with more planned.

Stanly Community College
Stanly Community College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate degrees. Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates are offered by Stanly Community College in many areas of study  ranging from industrial to technological and allied health domains. Dinner will precede the presentation at the Stanly Regional Medical Center Family and Education Center. The cost is $12.00 for Friends members and $15.00 for non-members.
