The Readers & Eaters Book Club
The Readers & Eaters Book
Club continues to read some
very interesting books which
make for lively discussions.
Plus we love
getting together for lunch.
We have room for you!! You
do NOT have to buy the book.
Come by the Sr. Center and
pick up the
book selection.
During the month of Sept we
will read Loving Frank and
will discuss it on the 1st
Wed., Oct 6th at 10:30. The
discussion will be
held at the restaurant.
Olivia will have details at
the Sept. meeting. Frank
Lloyd Wright is considered
by many to be an
architectural
visionary. But he could
hardly be considered a man
who "blended into the
landscape" and his
unconventional affair with
a married woman with two
children resulted in tragedy
both personal and
professional.
During the month of Oct, we
will read Their Eyes were
Watching God and will
discuss it on the 1st Wed,
Nov. 3rd. at 10:30. This
is a haunting story told in
the black vernacular about
one woman's search for
independence, female
bonding, identity, and
empowerment.
Lunch will be at a Mexican
restaurant.
Nana's Naughty Knickers Laugh Out Loud Farce!

10& Sylvia is a sweet 86
year old grandmother who has
been running a lingerie
boutique from her rent-
controlled apartment for
years. She has been selling
very naughty undergarments
to senior citizens who still
want to spice up their
lives. However, her money
making enterprise might come
crashing down around her
when her granddaughter
stumbles upon her business,
and her money-hungry
landlord starts snooping for
ways to evict Sylvia and get
a tenant who pays full rent!
Mistaken identities, loss of
hearing and lingerie
modeling ensue in this
delightful 2 act farce.
Join us as we travel to The
Barn Dinner Theater in
Greensboro, NC to see this
production. This trip
includes: Round trip deluxe
